Who is Trip Page?
By Michael Solomon

Trip was technically my brother for only 2 years, but when I met him it felt like we were brothers our whole life. Everyone that was fortunate to have met Trip instantly liked and loved him. He was truly a great man. He worked hard, played hard, and loved even harder. He was as close to perfect as any man can hope for: He had a great career, loved to surf and play golf, continued to educate himself, pursued other interests like playing the guitar and beating my sister in the Cooper River Bridge Run, he was well disciplined, loved his wife and family, and he had a close group of loyal friends. You sometimes forget what people say or do, but you don't forget how people make you feel. Trip always made you feel comfortable. I feel in my heart that Trip's soul is at peace in heaven, and that he is looking over us all.

The things I liked most about trip was his generosity, humility, and his sense of humor. Trip would practically wrestle with anyone to pick up the check at a restaurant, trying to give ridiculous excuses why he should pay and would often conclude the argument with, "Hey, we're family, man!" Trip owned his own house, graduated from The Citadel, got his professional Engineers License, and was working toward his MBA all on his own. He loved the things he had to work so hard to achieve, but he never bragged. You don't come across a man that can build a highway, surf a tube (excuse my poor surfer language), reference any music, movie, or TV show that you have ever seen or heard about from 1982 to present, get straight A's in Graduate School, go out with you and drink beer until the bars close, and make his bed like he was in the military; well, that was Trip.

Trip was able to balance his life like most of us strive for and never succeed, and did it all with a huge smile on his face. He was happy and successful in every facet of his life: family, work, leisure, and self improvement. Trip was a gift to our family; the way he lived his life will continue to teach us how to live our own lives, full and with love.

Thank you Trip for the good times we had, we will miss you. You will never be forgotten.
