The Trip Page Education Initiative of South Carolina

The Trip Page Education Initiative of South Carolina is a non-profit organization founded by Christi S. Page in memory of her late husband, Roscoe Ashley, "Trip" Page, III. She created the Initiative to be committed to growing Responsible, Aware, and Giving individuals with the love, joy, and integrity Trip inspires. Presently, this initiative is working to increase Trip’s Citadel Endowment Scholarship; to improve the Charleston County School System; and to increase safe driving awareness, especially seat belt use.

Letter from Christi S. Page

For those of you who had the opportunity to now Trip, you could never forget him. He had the gift of making any situation more fun with his infectious laugh and gorgeous smile. He could tell at story like no other and he just lit up any room he entered.

I was so proud of Trip. He was self-made; He was a man of integrity, love, generosity, and true loyalty--putting himself through the Citadel (Class of 2000), becoming a professional engineer, and working towards his Master’s Degree in Business. He could squeeze three days worth of experiences from surfing to golf into one and I was continually impressed by his ability to always see the positive in life.

Trip did so much with his life and impacted so many people in such a short time. Trip was my most favorite person on earth. He was my best friend and my husband and our love will never end. I am forever grateful for the honor of being Trip’s wife.

I believe that with any intense life experience--wonderful or horrible--God presents many personal responsibilites in the love that surrounds us. My responsibilities, in addition to learning to love life again and being happy, is giving others the opportunity to be inspired by Trip in some way. I have created the Trip Page Education Initiative of South Carolina committed to growing Responsible, Aware, and Giving individuals with the love, joy, and integrity Trip inspires. Presently, this initiative is working to increase Trip’s Citadel Endowment Scholarship; to improve the Charleston County School System; and to increase safe driving awareness, especially seat belt use.

Though we all lost a part of ourselves June 29, 2007, Trip lives on through and in all of us. Trip is an inspiration and we all have a personal responsibility to live our lives with great love, happiness, and integrity.
